We understand how to create special funeral services that are individual and unique, whether it's a burial or cremation ceremony, and we encourage family members to be a part of the decision making of the service.

We believe it is the dedication and professionalism of our staff combined with our history of service, vision and commitment that makes us unique. We are local and understand our community and the families and whanau who live here. We are flexible and can adapt to accommodate each whanau we serve. We can also advise and assist with establishing a suitable headstone or memorial for your loved one.

Whilst not a requirement under NZ law, we support our staff to obtain qualifications in their profession as Funeral Directors and/or Embalmers. Education is a key aspect to providing excellent care to our client families. When embalming services are provided, our client families can take comfort in the knowledge this is being provided in a first class clinical environment. Geards Funerals believe in educating the community about the funeral process. We provide funeral education to community and school groups and health care providers.
